The fourth workshop within the SYSMICS Project was held at Chapman University (California, USA) from the 14th to the 17th of September 2018. The workshop involved 25 researchers, both coming form external and partner universities.
The scientic program of the workshop focused on dualities between algebraic, logical and semantic categories, especially from the point of view of duality theory (see WP8, Dualities). In addition to the standard presentations, the workshop also featured two guided discussions. The first discussion highlighted several recent dualities based on polarities that generalize many of the well known dualities in algebra and logic. The second discussion centered around making a catalog of dualities. Both were very successful and stimulated further collaborations.

The members of the Organizing Committee were: Peter Jipsen (Chapman University), Alexander Kurz
(Chapman University), M. Andrew Moshier (Chapman University).
The workshop was also sponsored by the Chapman University Center of Excellence in Computation, Algebra and Topology (CECAT) and by the Chapman University Schmid College of Science and Technology.
