Ischia (Italian pronunciation: [ˈiskja]) is a volcanic island in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It lies at the northern end of the Gulf of Naples, about 30 kilometres (19 miles) from the city of Naples [see more on wikipedia].

The conference will take place at Hotel re Ferdinando, a 4 star hotel in the main town of the island (Ischia porto).  Both the plenary talks as the parallel sessions will take place on the premises of the hotel, so it may be convenient to book a room there, however we also provide a list some cheaper alternative in the surroundings.

Ischia is a quite touristic destination (in 2010 over 4 million tourists visited the island for at least one day).  This means that the island is well prepared to host foreign guests [see our page on how to get there], but at the same time we strongly encourage you to book in advance your accommodation in order to find something that suits to your needs [see our page on some suggested accommodations].
